It is no longer possible to buy the full range of tickets on board a train.As with all train companies*, you must purchase a ticket before boarding or risk a fare penalty. Only non-discounted Anytime fares are available through the driver**; note that they are more expensive than pre-trip purchases.
We now have more convenient ways to buy a ticket before you travel:

- You can also buy in vending machines
- and at the cash registers
If you arrive at a station and there are no ticketing facilities available to you, you can buy a ticket (including discounts) from the conductor on the train or at any point along your route. If you wish to purchase a weekly pass, you must purchase a one-way ticket to the destination train station where you can change and purchase your weekly pass.
